Ta-dah!!!! It's finally finished!

Although was it worth the effort? I guess it was, I think (and I hope you agree with me!) it looks quite beautiful. But boy did it take forever to make.

When I see it, I think of all those evenings spent watching tv with a needle in my hand and Boyfriend (rightly so) complaining that this tray with threads was always in the way...

Then there was the incident when the needle went missing overnight, only to reappear stuck in the front of my slipper the following morning... honestly, what was that all about?!

But hey, 'tis all done now. And I'm so proud. I finished it off the other day, I was on a cross stitching marathon I tell you, I just wanted it to be fi-ni-shed.

As you can see, it's a book marker and the cross stitching depicts lavender flowers.

So I stuffed some hand picked lavender from last summer inside and it smells divine!!! Can't wait to start a new book so I actually have a reason to use it!

Happy Friday all xx

This is wonderful, but I know what you mean on taking foreven, I sometimes start new ideas for the shop, only to realise that if I had to sell and make any profit, nobody would buy the item! Kx

Hurray!!! It's so pretty, glad you stuck with it because it looks gorgeous.

Great idea with the lavender as well, it's all about going the extra mile - I'd have just left it looking all scrappy!

That is so pretty - and I bet it smells wonderful! Definitely worth the effort - the needle story is funny, I have lost sooo many sewing needles and mine never turn up anywhere, there must be a *very* prickly place somewhere in my flat where they have all accumulated...

Wow, that's really pretty! Love the idea of stuffing it with lavender. I've never been really interested in cross-stitch before but I've just bought a book of embroidery & cross-stitch designs and am now itching to have a go at it!

Very pretty - it gives me a sudden urge to do some cross-stitch (although I have many stitches to go on my sweater before I can think about dallying with another craft!)

I think that looks gorgeous - it may have taken a long time, but it can become your family heirloom. xxx

Thank you for all your lovely comments! Took me so long to make but now that I've been using it on a daily basis I love it!!
Deb, the tassel came with the cross stitch kit, and although I wasn't too sure about it at first, I very much like it now!
