So here's my adapted recipe - thanks Lucy for the inspiration, they certainly didn't last very long!!
Ingredients
- 100g butter
- 50g brown sugar
- 2 tbsp runny honey
- 100g self raising flour
- 100g oats
- a couple of handfuls of chocolate chips
Method
- Place the butter, sugar and honey in a pan and melt on a low-medium heat until the ingredients are melted. Give a good stir to combine.
- Add the flour, oats and chocolate chips. Stir well.
- Place small tbsp of the mix onto a lined baking tray (I managed about 20) and flatten slightly with a fork.
- Bake at 180C for 12-15min, until lightly golden.
All I can say is that these will definitely be made again - so simple and so so scrumptious!

Do you have to post such yummy looking biscuits so early in the day? - now my mouth is watering and there's not a biscuit to be had anywhere in the flat.
Hurray you don't have a microwave either!!
I think we've just bonded a bit there.
I'm sorry J, it's making me hungry too to be honest!! And all I have to munch on is a banana - oh yeah
The Girl, hip hip hooray for the non microwave crew!!! Although we don't have one because there's simply not enough space! Love the one I've got at work though, means I can have yummy leftovers for lunch (or heat up my heinz tomato soup today!!)
Yum - they sound delicious, I shall definitely be giving these a try. I wonder if they would work with golden syrup instead of honey?

PS. We don't have a microwave either - we had one years ago but when it broke we never replaced it and I can honestly say that we don't miss it one bit!
Droooool - bad mistake not leaving today's post until lunch time!! Now i'm hank marvin!!!
Oh oh can i join the sans-microwave club??? (although technically I do have one, its just stashed away in a cupboard and we can never be bothered digging it out to use!!)
I can't believe you cook such yummy stuff and all you've got to eat at work is a banana and some Heinz Tomato soup! (When I was sooooo much younger than I am today, I used to love dipping toast smoothered in Philadephia cheese into my tomato soup - sounds disgusting, but it's mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!)
lol I feel slightly ashamed now!! I completely blame feeling utterly lazy last night and being engrossed in watching stuff on 4oD!!
Glad to see the no microwave crew is in full force ;-)
I don't have a microwave either! Never felt the need really.
Yummy cookies, mmmmm.
No microwave here, too... No space for it. We used to have one in our previous place, but we never used it.
Those cookies look yummy. I haven't made cookies in months! How's that possible?? I will have to make some soon, or I'll lose all my patisseries skills!
The look really tasty. I am sure they wouldn't last long in my house!
They look fantastic! I really must make some.
