Nearly there

Would you believe it, I've nearly finished my first item of handmade clothing!! I'm talking about this crochet top for those of you with a good enough memory!

The annoying thing is, in normal circumstances, I would have finished this about a month ago now. But throw in a house move in the equation, and suddenly things become a tad more difficult. No pins at hand, all packed in a box. No towels to pin garment to to block it, all folded and put away in a bag. And to be fair, even though I might have been able to retrive those items, I didn't think Mr Petit Filoux would have been overly impressed in having a bit of crochet drying amongst the mountain of boxes.

So it's there, patiently waiting to dry. It will be time soon, I promise. I'll make the time soon to finish it up, surely getting it bloked is already a massive step? It's a summer top after all, and I'd be truly gutted if the summer came and went and it didn't see the light of day (and a little warmth? Indian summer anyone?).

So hang in there, it won't be much longer now before I can sew in the ends, stitch it together and crochet the final bits. May not sound like the most exciting bit of crafting, but let me tell you, I can't frigging wait.

Lovely mossy grey/green yarn. I'm knitting a throw for the winter and at this rate it will be finished in June. Perhaps we should have swapped?!
