So so long ago that I posted here. What can I say, I got whisked away to sunnier climes! Well not exactly whisked, more of a succession of train journeys, but you know what, I'd do it all again right now if I could. Only to come back to what feels like autumn, honestly, what's that all about??!! Someone take me back to the South of France, I want to feel the heat (41degrees C!) on my skin again!! South of France, that's indeed where I've been frolicking around for the last two and a bit weeks. What an amazing holiday that was. One of those that makes me question seriously why the hell I live in England. Anyway, I'll try and show you what I've been up to in the next few days, but I'll need a bit of time to get back into the swing of things so forgive me if I'm a bit sluggish to start with!! What I can say is this: it was hot and I ate a lot. Yep, that's about it.
Until next time, I'm off to start the mammoth task of catching up with all your blogs. Can't wait but I must say it's a little daunting! So forgive me if I comment on posts that are 10 days old!! ;-) xx

Bunny
It all started with this a long time ago...
Then I stopped being obsessed with crochet for a while and decided it was time to finish it...
Now it's practically time to give it to its rightful owner - I hope they like it!
Do you? I must say I'm very proud :-)

Treble love
Now you see it...
Now you don't!
Materials needed: colourful cheap and cheerful acrylic yarn (we're talking Wilko love here), an empty container of Nesquick and that's it! I cast on 41 stitches plus 3 for turning and basically just did row after row of treble crochet. Inspired by this of course!!

I've fallen in love
I just couldn't help myself.
I.
HAD.
TO.
End of.
Oh, have I not mentionned what I'm going on about?! Well, take a look...
It's all about Menorca and Sardinia for me.
Watch this space. Let's just say I'm not planning on going on holiday empty handed.

Agree to disagree
He tells me I can't have cake for breakfast.
I tell him it's not cake, it's "bread". Banana bread.
He tells me it's not healthy.
I tell him it's healthy because I added poppy seeds, pumpkin seeds and other seeds I had lying around in the cupboard.
Basically, it's just bananas and seeds. What's there to argue about?!
Conclusion: I've had this for breakfast and it's lush. End of story (well not really, scroll down if you want the recipe!)

Banana bread recipe
Ingredients:
- 100g butter
- 150g golden caster sugar
- 2 medium eggs
- 250 plain flour
- 100ml milk (I used skimmed and it worked fine)
- 2 tsp bicarb of soda
- 3 super ripe mashed bananas
- optional extras: seeds, nuts, chocolate chips...
Method:
- Preheat oven to 180C and line a loaf tin.
- Beat the butter and sugar until light and creamy.
- Add the eggs and beat it all together.
- Add the flour, bicarb and milk. Mix together well.
- Add mashed bananas, and extras if using.
- Pour mix into lined tin and bang in the oven until cooked (after 25min skewer was still coming out covered in cake goo so I turned the temperature down to 175C for an extra 20min and it worked a treat)

Animal love
If you've been reading this blog for a while, you'll know that I loooove animals. Be it cats, dogs, and really anything remotely cute and furry. This weekend, I got treated to some super animal love. Even though no cuddling was involved. Not one little bit. But do you want to see why I've still got a massive smile on my face thinking about it? Have a look.
How can anyone resist this big black ball of fur?
Well ok, I must admit we may have felt a little shaky at this point...
But they were just so cute... Winnie the Pooh anyone?!
Look at this fella - I mean come on, what amazing colours!!!
Those ears make me want to squeak
These guys were pretty cool - although at that particular point, I think my exact words were "I think it's time to make a move!!!"
So beautiful...
Now for a little bit of backside action...
And again..
And finally, because it's not all about the big and beautiful, let's not forget about the cute little ones that share our world every day...
I thought I should say this fantastic place is having a money-raising event this coming Friday for the Eastern Mountain Bongo (there's only 60ish poor sods left in the wild). Admission only £5. Bargainous me thinks.
Oh, and come back tomorrow to see my favouritest animal of all times. You won't be disappointed.

When you notice something....
No one else has...
See these flowers? Don't they look gorgeous close up?
Well they didn't look like much from a distance. So I must thank this little blog of mine for making my eyes open wide. Without it, I think I would have been like the rest of them, walking straight past this beautiful nature that surrounds us.
