the gooseberries very ripe, but my favourite were by far the redcurrants. They were so beautiful, like jewels on a bush - simply amazing!! Couldn't stop picking them!
Gooseberries were a bit of a mission to pick though, I still bear the scars from that! Definitely not something to do with children! But anyway, went home to get lots of jam on the go. Raspberry jam, redcurrant jam, gooseberry jam, gooseberry and redcurrant jam, can't wait to try it all! Still have plenty of raspberries and redcurrants left over so tonight for pudding we'll be having a raspberry and redcurrant fool! Yum! Anyway, feel a bit down now, not really sure why, guess it's this depressing grey and windy weather :-(
Hope you all had a nice weekend and made the most of the sunshine! x

Hi Lou
Thank you so much for leaving a comment on my blog! I couldn't find an email address for you to reply to.
All that fruit looks wonderful - which PYO did you go to? I'd love to go to one too, I'm on the Herts borders.

You're welcome! We went to one near Hitchin called Graveley Fruit Farm (near the A1), but I know there's also one between St Albans and Harpenden on Harpenden Road but I'm afraid I can't remember the name of it sorry. It was a lot of fun, I definitely recommend it!
OOh I'm a sucker for gooseberry jam...gooseberry anything really!
